      Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering within the University of Nicosia (UNIC), Cyprus has remarkable expertise and achievements in the chemical technology field:
• Synthesis, characterization and applications of advanced polymeric materials;
• Synthesis of novel polymeric materials of different chemical structures and architectures;
• Polymer characterization;
• Organic polymers of different architectures and various functionalities, capable of binding onto inorganic matter (environmental, electronic and catalytic applications), biological molecules and drugs (biomedical applications, drug-delivery systems), etc.;
• Investigation of the ability of block copolymers for microphase separation in solution and in the solid state, which leads in the formation of well-organized nanomorphologies;
• Organic-inorganic hybrid systems and polymer composites.
